Levitra: General Information

Levitra (brand name – Levitra, active ingredient - vardenafil hydrochloride) is medication widely used for erectile dysfunction treatment in men, alongside with other two popular pills with similar function – Viagra and Cialis. Levitra is officially produced by GlaxoSmithKline and Bayer Company and looks like orange round tablet with logotype in the form of flame.
Levitra belongs to the group of PDE5 inhibitors, and the method of its action is founded on raising the level of guanosine monophosphate, a chemical substance responsible for adequate blood supply of the penis. With the intensity of blood flow to the penis being increased men are capable to develop and keep up an erection during the sexual intercourse. PDE5 inhibiting action of Levitra results in maintaining normal and long-lasting erection in men with ED diagnosis, which is absolutely equivalent to erection in healthy men. Blood flow to the penis is reduced after sexual act is over, and erection goes away in a natural way.
Levitra is clinically proved to be very helpful for men who have ED, accompanied with some other health problems, such as high blood pressure, high level of cholesterol or diabetes. Men with experience of taking Levitra assume that it was very helpful and stimulated developing the erection and maintaining during the time of sexual act, thus, enabling patients to obtain maximum pleasure and satisfaction. Levitra is prescribed only to men having erectile dysfunction and is not supposed to be taken by children or women.
Men should take Levitra as it is prescribed by the doctor, without decreasing or increasing the dose. Normally 24 hours should pass between doses. Dose of Levitra can vary depending on the patient’s state of health (2.5mg, 5 mg, 10mg, and 20 mg), thus, men should use it only after consultation with physicist. Durability of Levitra’s action is approximately 5 hours (during this time it is physiological for men with ED to obtain and keep up erection), and the pill starts working within 15-25 minutes after it is taken.
